El repentino aumento de embarazos en un instituto de Estados Unidos alertó a los directores del centro, que descubrieron que las estudiantes, 17 chicas de no más de 16 años, pactaron quedarse embarazadas para criar a sus niños juntas. 

Se trata del Gloucester High School, situado en Gloucester, un pueblo pesquero de Massachusetts, informa la revista Time. El director del instituto, Joseph Sullivan, dijo que han descubierto que el padre de uno de los niños es un 'sin techo' de 24 años. 

Normalmente, el instituto tiene alrededor de cuatro embarazos por cada año escolar, pero de un tiempo a esta parte los servicios de médicos de la escuela detectaron un aumento considerable. 

Según Time, el responsable del centro médico del instituto, el doctor Brian Orr, y la jefa de enfermería, Kim Daly, empezaron a investigar las causas después de que un número inusual de niñas acudiera a la clínica de la escuela para realizarse las pruebas de embarazo y algunas varias veces. 

El pueblo, dividido 

En el centro médico prestan asesoría contra embarazos no deseados de forma confidencial y distribuyen anticonceptivos, pero según contó Sullivan a la revista, "algunas niñas se quedaban tristes cuando el test les decía que no estaban embarazadas". 

Ninguna de ellas, ni sus padres, quisieron dar su testimonio a la revista. La cuestión de cómo afrontar la situación ha dividido a este pueblo, de 30.000 habitantes y de gran tradición católica.

DNA IN MY FAMILY

I found through this activity that Genetics plays an important role when I think about my identity and my traits. When meiosis occur and new DNA appears in a human being, both, mom and dad give us the opportunity to be part of a family and to say ¨I am like my mom or my dad¨. In this process we also have the opportunity to continue our specie and to reproduce when we are ready for it and we grow up with responsibility.

The reproduction process can be full of rituals for the Monkey. Those rituals will depend on the species though. They generally will become mature between 4 and 5 years of age. The females are attracted to the biggest and strongest males. Those are going to be the leaders of the group. They are the only ones that will breed within that group.

This is why there can be plenty of conflict in a group of Monkeys. The males may fight with each other to be the dominant one. Males may leave a group when they mature to go create their own that they will be in charge of. A lone male may challenge the leader of a given group and then take over if he winds.

the sea start is a animal that reproduces by an asexual form firs the hand brokes them the hand regenerated  and the other hand start to made a new  sea start and the two have the same cells and are the same genetics

Sea Star.

The sea star is an invertebrate animal and it don't need a nervous system. The eat with the help of his arms,most of the 1.500 species of sea stars have just 5 arms but there are some tht have From 7 to 20 arms!!! And all of them have a strong superfise to protect the selves fom predators. When a 1 of the sea star arm broke,the pice of arm grows an other sea star grows and the arm from the original sea Star grows again!!!. Some of the sea sea stars live under the sand, the sea stars live around 8 years and depending of them age it change the texture of the skin of the sea star.

The specie that I chose is the sea star or asteroidea:

Its a specie that lives in the the sea and is the group of echinoderms. This specie is formed by a pentagonal disc with five arms or more.Have separate sexes and release sperm and eggs in the water, where fertilization occurs and the early stages of development they have the power to regenerate parts of their body, and in some species it becomes a common method of asexual reproduction , where each fragment of the parent star new individuals born

THE SPONGES

All we know sponges are aquatic. The vast majority live in the seas, from the seacoast to the seven thousand feet deep. About 150 species are native to fresh water. Once they are adults living sponges stuck on the bottom of the water like a plant but they are animals. In their adult state are larvae that swim without holding anything. Some species remain solitary, and sometimes not.

In total some 5000 known different sponges. All grow like a plant, fastened to a solid object which is often a rock. The sponges are tubular-shaped, lobed, and globular and various forms, some are shaped like cups and other fans or elephant ears. Also there are some that grow flat, like a carpet. The size can range from a few millimeters to over two meters .There is some that grow 1 meter high.

Sponges lack organs. They have no brain or nervous system, etc... These are cells that act with some coordination. Part of the body is hollow or internal pores and channels, for there the water flow, from which the sponges get their food and oxygen, and also dispose of wastes.

Reproduction of sponges may be asexual or sexual. Asexual: it is the fragmentation, where a portion of the sponge is removed and then grows as a new sponge. Other sponges remain hardy spores. Once the "mother" dies due to low temperatures, the spores are released.

There are over 3,000 species of mushroom throughout the world. It is a fungus, and unlike other plants, the mushroom has no chlorophyll to help it manufacture food.

         The cap of the mushroom--the part we typically eat--is actually the fruiting part of the mushroom, and is vital to its reproduction process. The cap will last only a few days, but during that time it will create millions of spores. Spores are single cells, each capable of turning into a mushroom.

THE POTATO:
